this is turning into a masterpiece! great job!!
love the new lighting, and the skymap is just beutiful!
i know its not finished, but for the final release id like to see the width of the national track vary more, wider in some sections maybe even narrower in others, would make it feel more natural. it feels too uniform and computer generated as it currently is. but I love the ruts and bumps too! just need more of em.
also the topdown image is too bright and whites out the distance. it may be my gtx570, in my last topdown tutorial i show how i change the brightness using levels.
none the less top job!

Yeah I get what you mean about the track width. It wasn't something I really considered when I first started the track. I'll take a look at where I can make changes without messing things up, but if it's too much work to make it look good, I probably won't bother. It's not something I really noticed myself either to be honest, but I'll keep that in mind for future tracks.
More ruts and bumps are definitely on the way! :) The top down is none existent right now, which is why it looks really bright in the distance, it's just the default texture at the moment. When I do some proper work on the textures, I'll generate the top down, but for these betas it's just extra work that I'm too lazy to do. :)

Loving the track so far! Smooth ride yet challenging and technical at high speed. Though I've seen similar looking tracks in real life, I agree with al167 on making it a bit more irregular and if possible, maybe add some foliage or rocks to the surrounding landscape. Really enjoyed this. Nice work!

The sky and hills remind me of early ps1 games, mostly spyro, and I love it. Such a good track, even by 2018's standards.
It just occurred to me that it also kinda looks like an mx madness track
